All Polling Places for the Twenty-One Wards of the City of Tomah will be at the Tomah Municipal Center, 819 Superior Avenue (Corner of West La Crosse Street and Superior Avenue) in the Fire Station or City Hall. All polling places will open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 P.M. and are accessible to elderly and disabled persons.

Voter registration is conducted in the City Clerk's Office and at the polling place on Election Day.
Registration Information: You can register to vote up until the Friday before the election or on Election Day. You must reside at your address for 10 consecutive days to be eligible to vote using that address. Proof of residence is required for all voter registration applications. If you have been issued and have a current and valid WI driver license or WI DOT-issued identification card (ID), you MUST provide the number. If you have not been issued a WI driver license or a WI DOT-issued ID, you must provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION
1. Must be a resident of the CITY OF TOMAH for at least 10 days
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen and age 18 or older
3. Proof of residency is required showing:
A. Your CURRENT NAME AND
B. Your CURRENT ADDRESS & the Name "TOMAH", WI
4. Acceptable Forms of proof of residency include: (Must show current name and address)
A. A Current & Valid Wisconsin Drivers License
B. A Current & Valid Wisconsin I.D. Card
C. Bank Statement
D. Any Other Official I.D. Card or License Issued by a Wisconsin Govt. Body
E. An Identification Card Issued by an Employer or a University, College or Technical Institute (Must Include Name & Address)
F. Real Estate Tax Bill or Receipt (Current)
G. Residential Lease (which is effective)
H. Utility Bill (Dated not earlier than 90 days before election)
I. Current Paycheck
J. Check or Other Document Issued by a Unit of Government
5. If you have already registered but HAVE MOVED OR CHANGED YOUR NAME, YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE LISTED PROCEDURES.
6. IF YOU LIVE IN A TOWNSHIP OR VILLAGE, YOU NEED TO VOTE & REGISTER IN YOUR TOWNSHIP.
Currently, absentee voting can be done in the Clerk's office as soon as ballots are available through the close of business THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE ELECTION. Photo ID is required. You may also request an absentee ballot by mail.
SIGNING THE POLL BOOK
Voters must sign the poll book to obtain a ballot. The poll book contains a signature block for each voter. Only one poll book needs to be signed. Voters unable to sign the poll book because of a physical disability are exempt from the requirement. If this applies to you, tell the election officials that you are unable to sign because of a disability. Election officials will write "Exempt" in your signature block.
